“ I had the jalapeño burger with salt and pepper fries. It was delicious. Burger was packed with flavor and the fries were the best. The order was to go and the fries didn't get soggy or gross. It hit the spot and will definitely be back soon. ”
“ I live up the road from here and have finally got around to trying it out. The restaurant itself is really nice, and I love the vibe. It's definitely a cool place to eat in warm weather. I got the jalapeño burger which was pretty good. I upgraded to sweet potato fries for 1.99 extra, which were mediocre. My wife's regular potato fries were actually better. I'll be back to try a few other menu items. ”
“ I would definitely give them a 4.5 if I could it was almost perfect. The service was good we had a new server who was very nice. The food was very good I loved there Mozzarella sticks and tater tots. The pulled pork was nice I would need a little more sauce for my liking. It would definitely be much better in the summer ”
“ THE WINGS- oh my they are phenomenal. First- I am not a wing person. My family loves wings. They get me and they are the best! And everyone loves wings from Decked Out for our family's gatherings- like Super bowl. Second- the burgers are outstanding whenever we go to eat there. it's a fun atmosphere and really good burgers. And the big pretzel -yummy!!! ”
“ Found this restaurant while just scrolling on my fb feed. Me and a my friend Jennifer decided to eat here cause we were in new of a new restaurant with a cute atmosphere. We opted to eat on the deck cause it was a beautiful warm day out. ”
“ Cute lil place to have a bite to eat or stop in for a cold beverage. Staff are friendly and it's an enjoyable atmosphere. We went this evening for the first time and to listen to live music. I had a regular burger and my boyfriend had a sub. Food was great! ”
“ Took a pretty drive out to the country today, on an incredible spring day. Trees blooming, weather sunny and 70, nice breeze. Great day to go out in search of a hidden gem of a place to eat... and I found one in Decked Out Burgers & Dogs. Despite living in the Triad most of my life, I have only ever really been to Walnut Cove specifically for the Hillybilly Hideaway restaurant, which if you have not been... you should check out for the biscuits (hoecakes) alone. Now I have another reason. This place is very much set up to be like a 50s or 60s roadside diner/drive-in. The music is oldies, and the restaurant has an interesting layout, in a very charming way. Finding bathrooms will only be a challenge one time because they actually are in rooms that face outdoors around the side closest to the parking lot. They are tiny, but functional, and clean. While I was there, quite a bit of bikers came in and out to enjoy the sun and the food taking a break from their rides. To the food, the first thing that will hit you (especially at lunch) is how affordable the place is. Lunch combos that include a drink for less than $10 abound, even if you were to upgrade to a steakburger, or all-beef hot dogs as opposed to the Carolina red hots, it would be right at $10. In fact, i ordered a carolina classic burger, and also one of their specialty hot dogs, the "Decked Out Dog" only to find out that came with two hot dogs, and was just $5! That's right, at lunch, I got a burger, 2 hot dogs loaded, fries, drink, for less than $15. I did take a peek at the dinner menu, the jump in price is totally reasonable, and still would put a meal here at less than most places you'll find these days. On to taste... first I love that they have the crispy lightly-battered fries. This automatically puts your fries at the top tier. The burger, someone had told me it's a smashburger, it isn't. Just a regular burger, but it was still tasty enough. The chili on the carolina burger is very meaty, almost felt like a double. I felt that the chili could use a bit more zing and spice. The "decked out" hot dogs were more than I could handle two of (again, I thought I was just getting a single). It's a red hot, with bacon, queso, chili... and onion jam! Which was the main reason I ordered it. Love a unique topping. Again, felt the chili could use a tweak, but loved the creativity. I like the bread they use for both burger and hot dog. It isn't like a brioche, it's airy, but with a nice flavorful crust. Sitting outside on a day with pleasant weather was great. Your view from the deck is of the road, so it's really just enjoying nice weather outside. There is a fountain... that could use maybe just a little window dressing to look nicer. Overall, I would come back when I want another nice country drive, and if you live in this area you would be doing yourself a disservice not to come here regularly. ”
